IU School of Optometry Benefits from Closure of Non-Profit Organization.

The nonprofit Saving Sight provided donated services and eyeglasses to low-income Hoosiers. It recently dissolved, but because it still has money in its endowment fund, the board of directors is allocating $14,000 each year to the IU eye care center.

IU School of Optometry dean Joseph Bonanno says the new funds allow the eye center to see about 200 additional uninsured or underinsured patients each year.
